Irbesartan
Irbesartan is an angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ) receptor inhibitor, which selectively blocks the binding of Ang Ⅱ with AT1 receptor, inhibits vasoconstriction and aldosterone release, and produces antihypertensive effect. Irbesartan can also reduce the electrical remodeling of the myocardium, thus reducing the mortality of patients with hypertension. Irbesartan is the most effective drug for the treatment of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
Azide is easy to be introduced into irbesartan synthesis process. Azides can inhibit the activities of cytochrome oxidase and many other enzymes, and lead to abnormal phosphorylation and cell respiration. Azide can stimulate respiration, enhance cardiac power, increase hypertension, general spasm, depression and shock in large dose, and it is highly toxic. The half lethal concentration is 37.4mg/kg.
According to the detection requirements of irbesartan in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2020 edition, anion exchange chromatographic column, conductivity detector and suppressed conductivity detection method were used to analyze the sample solution after online treatment by valve switching online matrix elimination method.
