Perchlorate is a kind of salt containing perchlorate, which can be divided into two sources: natural generation and human synthesis. Natural perchlorate is often used as raw material of chemical fertilizer, and perchlorate can also be produced in the atmosphere; synthetic perchlorate is widely used in leather processing, rubber manufacturing, coating production, lubricating oil additives and other fields, and is also one of the main components of solid rocket propellant.
1.The harm of perchlorate
Perchlorate has the same charge and ion radius as iodine ion, and has a higher affinity for the transport protein of iodine ion than iodine, so it can inhibit the absorption of iodine, affect the thyroid function, interfere with the normal metabolism of human beings, and affect the normal growth and development of fetal and infant nerve center.

In the late 1990s, the United States Environmental Protection Agency found perchlorate in drinking water in many places.
