Ion chromatograph is a kind of scientific instrument widely used in scientific research, food safety and environmental protection. The core component of it is ion chromatographic column. A few years ago, this core technology could only rely on imports, because no domestic manufacturer could produce such components.
In 2011, Zhang Binbin, who just graduated from university, came to Shenghan to develop ion chromatography column packing. In the early stage of development, the company had a poor office and experimental conditions, and there were few reference materials. The laboratory was in a oldest building.
As the first ion chromatographic column independently developed and mass produced, this product has stable performance and can be applied in many fields such as quality control, energy and so on, laying a foundation for the research and development of enterprise chromatographic column
At the same time, in order to improve the overall level of domestic analytical instruments,Shenghan undertook the task of developing the national multi-functional ion chromatograph, especially hydrophilic anion chromatographic column, which has long been the blank field of ion chromatography in China. Zhang Binbin said that it was the most difficult period for her, and she was in the sense of frustration for a long time in the face of successive failures.
Zhang Binbin and her colleagues have accumulated a lot of experience in nearly 10,000 experiments in the past two years. The project finally made a breakthrough in 2014. The hydrophilic anion chromatographic column has been successfully developed and reached the international advanced level in various indicators.
