Vacutainer, EDTA anticoagulant tube contains EDTA Anticoagulant. Compared with other anticoagulant, EDTA salt (2K, 3K, 2Na) is usually used as anticoagulant, because it has less effect on the agglutination of blood cells and the morphology of blood cells. EDTA salt can combine with calcium ions in the blood to form chelation, thus preventing blood coagulation. The content of EDTA and fluoride can be determined by ion chromatography.
