Amino trimethylene phosphonic acid (ATMP) is a water treatment agent used for circulating cooling water in thermal power plants and oil refineries and oilfield water injection systems. It can reduce the corrosion and scaling of metal equipment or pipelines. It is used as a metal ion chelating agent in textile printing and dyeing industries, and also as a metal surface treatment agent.
